Is it a logo or a graphic?

The SD logo is the primary element of our institution’s visual identity and provides immediate brand recognition for the university. University and unit lockups are the only logos that may represent a school/college, office, department, center, institute, lab, program, grant or other unit within South Dakota State University.

Graphics refer to visual images or designs created or displayed on a screen or printed on a physical medium. Graphics are used to communicate information, convey ideas or enhance the visual appeal of various forms of media.

Any combination of design elements and text used in marketing materials and general apparel is considered a graphic, not a logo.
