While they do not qualify as a sub-brand, the university does have a number of branded products sold at retail, such as SDSU Ice Cream and Ears Up beer. These products are permitted to have unique logos but must obtain prior written approval from the university president via the process managed by UMC.
Logos on retail product
- Must include the most appropriate institutional mark (the SD logo or Jackrabbit as determined by UMC) on the packaging.
- Must be designed in SDSU’s primary and secondary colors.
- Must be designed by or in close coordination with UMC.
