Student success at South Dakota State University is something experienced throughout your entire career here on campus. We want our students to succeed in and beyond the classroom. To accomplish this we offer a wide array of activities and services designed to assist students at all levels of their college experience. Disability Services

Disability Services recognizes that disability is an aspect of diversity that is integral to society and to the campus community. To this end, the office collaborates with students, faculty and staff across the University community to create a usable, equitable, inclusive and sustainable learning environment.

This web-based document provides access to information about services and resources for students as well as policies and procedures. Please be aware that all students are responsible for reading and knowing the contents of this handbook.

 

American Indian Student Center

The American Indian Student Center is committed to providing a welcome home-place to support those who have courageously chosen to walk the path of higher education.

 

Multicultural Center

The Multicultural Center at South Dakota State University develops campus initiatives that demonstrate the valued practice and philosophy of multiculturalism within the university community.

 

Education Abroad and National Student Exchange

Education abroad programs come in many different forms. Short-term programs are one to six weeks up to full semesters or an academic year. Find programs, schedules, financial information, faculty and parent resources and more.

 

Veterans Affairs

Veterans Affairs Resource Center assists military veterans, their family members and their survivors, in obtaining all federal and state educational benefits and entitlements they have earned by serving in the United States military and to provide guidance and support services that will aid veterans in their transition to academic and civilian life.

 

TRIO Programs

SDSU offers two TRIO programs that support first generation and income eligible students in college access, preparation and success. Both programs provide proactive support systems that increase the probability of student success and graduation from college.

 

Wintrode Tutoring Program

When you need a hand, we're here to help.
SDSU’s academic programs are meant to be challenging, and that’s why we offer free tutoring to all SDSU students through the Wintrode Tutoring Program—to supplement what you are learning in the classroom.

LeadState

LeadState is a semester-long leadership development program designed for college sophomores. Students are nominated to participate by faculty and staff from across campus and can also self-nominate by sending an e-mail to the LeadState account indicating their interest in the program. Around fifty students take part in LeadState each semester, and over 800 students have completed the program since its inaugural year in 2009.
