Non-flash photography is allowed in galleries and public spaces. Feel free to tag @sdartmuseum if you post to social media!

The museum often photographs and films onsite programs for use on promotional materials. If you do not wish to be filmed or photographed, please inform a staff member.

The South Dakota Art Museum is pleased to offer accommodations to ensure that our building and programs are accessible and inclusive. The building is accessible by wheelchair from the ramp at the Museum's entrance at 1036 Medary Ave. The street level door can be opened with special request by calling 605-688-5423.

A wheelchair and a seated walker is available for use. An elevator is able to take visitors to all levels of the museum. Public restrooms include accessible facilities. Please feel free to ask staff for directions.

Accessible parking spaces are available on the north side of Harvey Dunn Street just west of Medary Avenue and in the museum parking lot on the south side of Harvey Dunn St. Feel free to pull onto the loading zone in front of the museum when you're dropping someone off.

We will do our best to accommodate your needs when you arrive, however, we may need one to two weeks advance notice for some specific requests. Please email accommodation requests to sdsu.sdam@sdstate.edu or call 605-688-5423.
