Problem solving and planning with a minor in Financial Counseling.
A minor in financial counseling will prepare students to pursue careers in the financial planning and financial counseling industry. Courses in this 18-credit minor provide opportunities for students to apply content knowledge and skills by working with individuals to meet their financial goals and solve financial problems. Students are encouraged to pursue the Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC) certification through the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education. Financial counselors are frequently employed by the U.S. Department of Defense, non-profit human services agencies and by health care organizations.
