Educational Support Technology

Technology can be a great tool to assist students with disabilities through the use of assistive technologies such as speech-to-text, text-to-speech, voice recording and notetaking software. This page contains a list of educational support tools available through different operating systems and free applications for mobile devices. While this list does not cover everything, it provides a good starting point for those interested in learning more about these assistive technologies.

Each type of technology listed has links to tutorial videos for guidance.

For more information on assistive technology options, please email the Office of Disability Services Accommodation Specialist, Dan Hagen, or by calling 605-688-5471.
