About Us
The bioinformatics research group is led by Dr. Xijin Ge, professor at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. Dr. Ge's publications can be found at Google Scholar and ORCiD.
Currently, the focus of his group is the development of bioinformatics tools that enable biologists to easily analyze gene expression profiles. Another research direction is the meta-analysis of genomics data to uncover molecular mechanisms underlying complex biological processes, such as the role of transposable elements in early embryo development. Dr. Ge also enjoys working with many collaborators in a supporting role.
His research group is supported mainly by National Science Foundation (NSF) and National Institutes of Health (NIH).
