SDSU physics provides significant outreach to the community and region. This includes demonstration shows, star parties, educational talks, assistance with curriculum and judging for local and regional science fairs. It is the goal of the department to act as a resource for students and teachers statewide. The department also has a long history of providing teacher workshops in the summer with the focus on increasing student interest and ability in math and science.
