Using Student Learning Outcomes to Measure Outcomes and Inform Practice
The Wintrode Student Success and Opportunity Center measures student learning through a comprehensive assessment plan that includes center-wide Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs). Wintrode Center SLO’s, listed below, are based on CAS Standards and SDSU’s Co-curricular Assessment Domains. Assessment results are used to determine effectiveness and to inform program modifications and enhancements.
As a result of participating in Wintrode Student Success and Opportunity Center programs, students will:
- Develop personal, academic, and professional goals. (Practical Competence)
- Express confidence in their ability to achieve their goals. (Practical Competence)
- Develop knowledge of campus and community resources. (Practical Competence)
- Apply strategies to enhance their learning. (Practical Competence)
