Get involved
We have Student Nurses Association (SNA) chapters at three of our campuses: Brookings, Rapid City and Sioux Falls.
Through SNA, you’ll have the opportunity take part in a variety of activities with your fellow classmates. Members can work on the nursing float for Hobo Day, organize the blood drive and participate in recruitment activities. These experiences can help you develop leadership skills and provide growth opportunities that you’ll only get here at SDSU.
We encourage both pre-nursing and nursing students to get involved with SNA. To join, fill out the SNA Application. You’ll be admitted at the national level and automatically become a member of the state and local organizations, too. You can learn more about the officers and advisers for each site on the SDSU Jacks Club Hub.
The SNA mission is to:
- Organize, represent and mentor students preparing for initial licensure as registered nurses, as well as those nurses enrolled in baccalaureate completion programs.
- Promote development of skills needed to be responsible and accountable members of the nursing profession.
- Advocate high-quality health care.
