There are many ways that you can help.
If you'd like to help us generate and prepare students for real world opportunities, we'd love to talk to you about all the ways that can happen.
Are you aware of a good internship or job opportunity suitable for a mechanical engineering major? Would you be willing to speak to our students about your work or company? Is there a good field trip opportunity in your area? Do you have an outreach or service learning project our students can work on? Let us know!
Financial donations are always appreciated. They're extremely useful and important, and we've had generous support from alumni and friends of the department in this regard. Scholarships for undergraduate students, fellowships to support graduate students, funds to purchase computers or support field trips and more have been donated in the past and immediately put to good use. It's hard to imagine a time when we'd ever have too much of any of these, so if you're interested in helping in this way please contact us.
Financial donations, as important as they are, are far from the only way to help us help students. Helping us connect students with opportunities of this nature is every bit as valuable as financial help. Again, please contact us if you have information regarding opportunities of this sort.
If you know you want to help but aren't sure how, we'd love to talk to you about how you can make your unique contribution. Whatever that contribution is, know that the students, faculty and staff of the SDSU Mechanical Engineering Department appreciate it.
