Biography

Elizabeth got a Bachelor of Music in music education from Lawrence University (Appleton, Wisconsin) in 1987. She went on to Texas for a Masters in Library and Information Science which she obtained from UT Austin in 1991. She went back to her home state of Colorado for a job at Adams State College in Alamosa for three years and then came to the great state of South Dakota and Briggs Library in 1994. She has worked in several areas of the library including circulation, interlibrary loan and information services since she arrived. She obtained a Masters of Education in adult and higher education from SDSU in 1997 and has worked on a Ph.D. in sociology on and off since then.

Elizabeth is the subject librarian for history, political science, philosophy and religion; consumer sciences; health and nutritional sciences; School of Performing Arts; sociology; and women, gender and sexuality studies.
