About the Pilot Program
Do you currently do career exploration work with middle and high school students? Do you believe that those youth would benefit from exploring careers related to food, agriculture, natural resources and human sciences? Consider submitting an application to pilot the latest version of Careers in a Box within your community.
Careers in a Box is a curriculum developed by faculty at South Dakota State University, West Virginia University and North Dakota State University. Featuring five career exploration activities, the aim is to expose students to careers that they may not be aware of. What types of skills make someone a retail merchandiser? How do you help diverse families make their SNAP benefits count? How do you evaluate a livestock brand to ensure it meet’s state laws and regulations? These are just some of the questions that this round of Careers in a Box will explore.
