Tim Peterson: Illuminated Noir

Open -

Tim Peterson (Spearfish, SD) invites viewers into a world where light and shadow take center stage, offering a striking exploration of visual contrast. His oil pastel nocturnes, or evening scenes, capture the quiet allure of bypasses, junkyards, alleys and hotel signs—scenes glimpsed during evening strolls or drives. These pieces stand in stark contrast to Peterson's highly saturated watercolor streetscapes. Together, these works inspire contemplation and invite us to appreciate the overlooked moments and spaces of our world.

Plan to attend the reception and artist talk on Saturday, April 5 from 5-7 p.m.
