The program is fortunate and thankful to those who have provided scholarship funds for our students. Returning undergraduate and graduate students can access the scholarship application through MyState.
Graduate Assistantships
The graduate assistant (GA) in Counseling and Human Development is only for students majoring in a program offered in CHD. The GA assists his/her assigned faculty members and other program personnel on a limited basis with responsibilities such as research, teaching and administrative work. GA's are allowed to take up to 15 credit hours per semester. Graduate assistants are not allowed to complete homework during scheduled office hours. Applications are due April 1 and awarded on a competitive basis for the following academic year.

Activities, Organizations and Clubs
Chi Sigma Iota
Chi Sigma Iota (CSI) is an international honor society for graduate students, professional counselors and counselor educators. The SDSU chapter of CSI is Sigma Delta Sigma. Graduate students who are pursuing a M.S. in counseling and human resource development are invited to apply for membership online at CSI.
Students must be a M.S. CHRD student who has completed at least nine credit hours with a 3.5 GPA to be eligible for membership. For more information, please email the SDSU CSI Adviser, Katelyn Romsa.
Chi Sigma Alpha
Chi Sigma Alpha (CSA) is an international student affairs academic and professional honor society of graduate students, alumni, faculty members and student affairs professionals committed to excellence in academics, research and service to the profession.
Students must be pursuing the MEd CHRD or M.S. CHRD specializing in College Counseling and have completed at least nine credits with a 3.7 GPA to be eligible for membership. For more information about CSA, please email the SDSU CSA Adviser: Katelyn Romsa.
