Visitor Accessibility Information
Designated accessible parking stalls are provided on campus for students, faculty, staff and visitors. Anyone utilizing an accessible parking stall must display a state-issued disability placard/license plate. A state issued accessibility placard is still required in situations regarding short-term or temporary mobility disability or injury. Individuals will not be granted special parking accommodations without a valid state-issued accessibility placard. Each state is different on how to obtain a state-issued disability placard so please consult with your physician for more information. Individuals who require reasonable accommodation to access or participate in any university program should contact Human Resources or successor unit. Concerns about physical or architectural access may be communicated to the Human Resources where they will be redirected to the appropriate university office.
Individual students, faculty, staff, campus visitors or members of the public are responsible for identifying themselves as a qualified individual with a disability when seeking an accommodation or adjustment. It is also the responsibility of individual students, faculty and staff to document their disability and to demonstrate how the disability limits their ability to complete the essential functions of their job or how the disability limits a student’s participation in academic programs or activities of the university.
