Open a Link in a New Window

These steps have been updated for Drupal 10

1. Log in to Drupal by going to Tools & Quick Links, My Account (Drupal).
2. Find the page to edit and click Edit in the top right hand corner of the page.
3. In the text editor, highlight text to link.
4. Choose the link icon from the toolbar.
5. Enter the URL under Link URL.
6. Open the Advanced menu.
   1. To open in a new window: Move the slider over so it turns green.
7. Click the green checkmark.
8. Saving the page: From dropdown next to "Change to:" choose one of the following statuses:
   • Ready to Review: If it is ready to be published.
   • In progress: If you want to hold on publishing or are still editing.

Tip

• Websites outside of sdstate.edu should always be set to "Open in a new window".
