Raymond Sundstrom spent a full career with the U.S. Geological Survey office in water research following his graduation from South Dakota State College. His career included assignments in the United Arab Republic, Guam, Egypt and Greece. He was also associated with the Ford Foundation in connection with the Aswan Dam in Egypt and with the Agency for International Development. He prepared more than 100 technical reports on water resources in many parts of the United States and abroad. After retirement from federal service, he served as a consultant and worked with the University of Delaware as a Hydrologist on several projects. He was a member of several technical and professional societies.
