Donald E. Craig began his career with the Municipal Light Department in Sioux Falls, and the Northern States Power Co. He then joined the General Electrical Co. in Schenectady, New York, where he spent the next 37 years in various engineering, manufacturing and general manager assignments at several company locations. In 1962, he became vice president and general manager of GE’s Turbine-Generator Division—the largest division in the company. He held his position until his retirement in 1974. Craig was active in several professional societies and community affairs.
