Biography
Originally from Virginia, I joined the South Dakota Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit in 1999 and currently serve as the Unit Leader. My research interests include feeding ecology and energetics of fishes. Before joining the South Dakota Coop Unit, I worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Aquatic Ecology at the University of Illinois.If you would like my CV or more information, please feel free to contact me at my SDState email address noted above.

Academic Interests
I teach graduate courses in aquatic trophic ecology and ecology of aquatic invertebrates.

Areas of Research
My research focuses primarily on aquatic food web ecology and bioenergetics of fishes. My students and I use quantitative tools such as energy budgets, diet analysis, stable isotopes and foraging models to help address fisheries management questions.
