Biography

Ric is an FAA-certified remote pilot with a career exceeding 40 years, possessing extensive experience in aerial reconnaissance, university instruction and consulting across various domains. His expertise encompasses urban planning, urban design, aviation planning, environmental management and emergency services. Noteworthy contributions to aviation literature include authorship of publications such as the "Advanced Air Mobility Dictionary" (formerly known as the Drone Dictionary) and "Using Drones in Planning Practice." Presently, Ric is actively engaged in instructing courses on uncrewed aircraft systems, urban planning and generative AI at multiple academic institutions. Concurrently, he provides flight training services to entities in both the public and private sectors.
