Biography

Dr. Pappu Yadav is an assistant professor of precision agriculture AI engineering within the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering. Prior to this he was a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering at University of Florida, Gainesville. His current role comprises 80% research and 20% teaching. His academic responsibilities include PRAG 304/304L: Electrical Diagnostics for Farm Machinery and AST 426/426L: Technology Applications for Precision Agriculture. Dr. Yadav's research interests encompass various aspects of precision agriculture with a focus on remote and proximal sensing utilizing multispectral, hyperspectral, thermal and fluorescence imaging, as well as the implementation of artificial intelligence, computer vision, uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS), uncrewed ground vehicles (UGV) and agricultural robotics.
