Biography

María Ramos-García has a Licenciatura in Hispanic philology from the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (Spain), and a M.A. and Ph.D. in Hispanic literatures and cultures from Washington University in St. Louis (St. Louis, Missouri). She joined the faculty at South Dakota State University in 1998.

  • Hispanic literatures and cultures
  • Paranormal romance and urban fantasy in the 21s Century (in English)
  • The teaching of culture and extensive reading in the foreign language classroom
  • Popular culture, especially after 9/11
