Biography

Amanda Williams serves as one of the professional academic advisors in the First Year Advising Center located within the Wintrode Student Success and Opportunity Center. Amanda holds a Master’s in Musicology as well as a Master’s in Education, specializing in the administration of student affairs. Amanda works with incoming freshman at SDSU in the areas of business economics, economics, entrepreneurial studies, music, music education, theatre, studio art, graphic design, interior design, landscape architecture and art education.

Amanda works closely with each of her students on transitioning to college and planning out a successful path at SDSU before they move on to their department advisers. Her main areas of interest are planning skills, time management, real world knowledge and building students autonomy.
