Biography

Dr. Allen Jones is Professor Emeritus of Civil Engineering. His academic career at SDSU included broad responsibilities in geotechnical engineering, civil engineering and academic quality and rigor. He previously served as the program assessment coordinator and accreditation coordinator for civil engineering, and continues to serve as an ABET accreditation program evaluator (PEV). Dr. Jones continues to perform research in engineering as well as in other non-related fields. Prior to joining SDSU, he was an active professional engineer at Hart Crowser, Inc., in Seattle Washington for 18 years.
