Two faculty members and one graduate student in the School of Communication and Journalism at South Dakota State University received recognition at Central States Communication Association annual conference in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on April 2-7.
Jackrabbits Forensics to highlight work in ‘Night Before Nationals’
Jackrabbits Forensics team members at South Dakota State University will highlight their favorite work of the season before they leave for their national competition in early April. The Night Before Nationals showcase is set for 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, in the South Dakota Art Museum lecture hall. The event is free and open to the public.
SDSU student advertising team receives top honors at American Advertising Awards
South Dakota State University’s National Student Advertising Competition team received three awards at the 2024 American Advertising Awards hosted by the American Advertising Federation of South Dakota. The awards show was in Sioux Falls on Feb. 23.
SDSU to host ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ Community Read events
A series of events featuring the bestselling book “Killers of the Flower Moon” this semester will culminate April 5, when author David Grann will give a lecture on the South Dakota State University campus. The events — Community Read discussions, a free movie screening and the author lecture — are all part of SDSU’s School of English and Interdisciplinary Studies’ first-ever Community Read.

Jackrabbits Forensics celebrating successful season ahead of international trip
One of South Dakota State University’s most historical cocurricular teams is preparing to make history at its first international tournament in March. Jackrabbits Forensics, SDSU’s competitive speech and debate team, will travel to Dublin, Ireland, March 8-14 to compete in the International Forensics Association contest.
