Film screening, memoir discussion set with Curtis Chin
Curtis Chin, a critically acclaimed Chinese American writer, producer and director, will be on the South Dakota State University campus Thursday, Oct. 24, to screen his documentary films and to discuss his award-winning memoir.
SDSU recognized with Gladys Pyle Award for voter registration
South Dakota State University received the Gladys Pyle Award for efforts in young voter registration from South Dakota Secretary of State Monae Johnson on Sept. 30. The award reflects voter registration efforts by many on campus including the School of American and Global Studies, the Office of Multicultural Affairs and Accessibility and the Diversity in Athletics Council.
Rev. France Davis to speak at SDSU on Martin Luther King Jr. Day
The Rev. France Davis, pastor emeritus of the Salt Lake City Calvary Baptist Church and a prominent member of the civil rights movement, will be a guest speaker at South Dakota State University during the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Rally and Marade event to honor the life and legacy of the civil right activist.
