Gerald Moe and his wife Kaye farm near Arlington. Moe exemplifies the qualities of an Eminent Farmer. He is a respected farmer and an active advocate for rural opportunities. Moe is one of the founding board members of the South Dakota Soybean Processors and for more than a decade has served in various leadership positions for the South Dakota Crop Improvement Association. As state president of this organization, he served on the search committee for the South Dakota State University Dean of the College of Agriculture and Biological Sciences and strongly supported the funding and construction of the Northern Plains Biostress Laboratory.
He served as national director for the South Dakota Soybean Research and Promotion Council. He also is a member of the board of directors of Citizen's State Bank of Arlington and has served as township clerk, church board president.
Gerald and Kay have five children.
