Eminent Homemaker
County: Vale
Carol and her husband Wayne farm and ranch north of Sturgis. Friends and neighbors agree that she is the backbone of many West River organizations, and is very involved in ranching, 4-H and Extension and church activities.
On the farm, she distinguishes herself at the wheel of trucks, tractors and combines. She delivers calves, milks cows and raises her own chicken and eggs.
She recently was appointed to the Meade County Extension Advisory Board. She has been an active leader in the Meade County Leaders Association and worked for years at the Meade County Achievement Days. She and her family also support 4-H through monetary donations for trophies and to the 4-H Foundation. She also supports 4-H at the State Fair by assisting with judging teams, public presentations and fashion review.
They are the parents of three children.
