About the Graduate Program
- The program leads to a Master’s of Science or Master’s of Education degree with preparation for licensure.
- Class Format – Classes meet one night per week, Monday–Thursday, 4:30-7:20 p.m. or 7:30-10:10 p.m.
- Full time faculty – two; adjunct faculty – eight.
- Faculty members are fully licensed counselors in their respective areas and practicing in the community.
- Students attend full (nine credits) or part-time (six credits) and the program takes two to four years, depending on individual attendance.
- Summer classes – include required and elective classes on a rotating schedule.
- Admission to the counseling program requirements include the following:
- Undergraduate GPA of 2.75
- Completed application form
- Two letters of recommendation
- A goals statement
- An official transcript
- Background check
- $35 application fee

Accreditation
The program is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Education Programs (CACREP). All students are prepared to take a state licensure or national certification exam in their preparation area. Our students have a very successful pass rate on the National Counselor Exam (NCE).

- NOTE: Students must register for the term in which they are admitted, or they will be inactivated. If unable to start during the term of acceptance, students can request a program deferral one time for up to one academic year.
